Top Ten Things I Love About Jamaica

10. Festival (fried dough stick, what's not to love really?)

9. Jerk chicken (especially in Boston Bay, the birthplace of jerk)

8. Standing for the Jamaican national anthem at the beginning of every movie. I seriously love this, I wish we'd start this again in the U.S.

7. The goats just hanging out in the traffic circle by my house.

6. Scriptures from the Bible posted on billboards around the city.

5. Waking up to the sun coming up over the Blue Mountains every morning.

4. Driving my awesome Jeep Cherokee through the pothole-ridden streets of Kingston and having diplomatic immunity. I need to be careful when I get back to DC.

3. Treasure Beach and Port Antonio- the hidden treasures of Jamaica that have somehow managed to NOT be overrun with tourists, probably because the cruise ships don't stop there.

2. My Young Women. I love them!

1. The fabulous weather all year round. I am going to freeze to death in Norway!!
