So I'm set to leave Jamaica in about 6 weeks. I can't believe that I've been here for almost two years already. I have to warn you all the posts in the mean time are going to be most likely "goodbye" themed.
My friend Patrice is now in Toronto for the summer doing an internship at a drug treatment center and she's not coming back to Jamaica until AFTER I leave Kingston. We were both so distraught that I decided to go up to Toronto in August. More on that to come later.
Goodbye to my pretty apartment. I've since painted it all back to white in order to comply with the whole "leave it the way you found it" concept.
Latoya, my lovely visiting teacher, very kindly gave up a Saturday to come help me paint. PS: Never paint your apartment chocolate brown if you have to repaint it back at some point in the near future. It took about 4 coats to cover it.
Some other friends at work had a "Pirate Princess" themed goodbye bash (hence my piratey outfit).
About half the officers at work are transferring out this summer. Therefore, a plethora of work parties have commenced.
