apartment update

okay, i still don't have internet at my new apartment yet, hence no vonage phone. However, if i put my computer on the kitchen counter i can "borrow" my neighbor's wireless. Just discovered this and i am quite excited about it. Cable and wireless, the ONLY internet company in jamaica, is notoriously slow and has terrible customer so i'm very excited that i'll have some form of internet for the next few weeks until C&W gets its act together. Anyways here are some updates from my recent project. Amazing how much work gets done when the cable isn't hooked up yet.

The entry, pretty self explanatory, love the "melted butter" color.

Dining room. There are supposed to be nine square mirrors over the buffet but i have yet to call maintenance to come put them up. The photo doesn't do the color justice. It looks fabulous with the cherry wood furniture and the red covers.

The last three pics are of the living room (obviously). Disclaimer: i don't get to pick the furniture or the drapes so i think everything turned out pretty well. Also, my apartment probably is the worst sheetrocking job ever! it made painting impossible. Apparently right after renovation ( i live in a remodeled hotel) many pipes burst and so a lot of patching had to be done. Also, the brown paint looks weird in the photo, i promise it looks much better in person. ya'll will just have to come visit to get the real effect :)

Super cute. Very nicely done and love the colors. I wish I had the energy to get all creative in my apartment, alas, I do not, but maybe someday.

Hester Ann,

I can't believe this is your place. It looks awesome. However, are you sure this is the same Hester who lived in the Rad Pad and (if I remember correctly) you couldn't even walk into her room :) Love ya Hester!!!
