Moses decided to start his birthday, like every other day, bright and early. We brought him into bed with us and tried to convince him that sleeping in on your birthday was fun. No dice. As you can see he was skeptical.
So we gave him books to read while we tried to sleep a little longer.
"I'm one!" he said.
Early morning presents from mom and dad and some that had come in the mail.
Not really the traditional way to play with a pull-train but on your birthday you can do whatever you want.
His 12-month aardvark picture. The last one. (awesome skull sweater vest from Grandma and Grandpa)
Listening to said Grandma and Grandpa sing him happy birthday on the phone.
After church the party started. Even more presents!! Uhr Oma Ruth painted his this Charlie Brown themed bowl....
And gave him an awesome tie. If you look closely you can see it. She only held him a minute and gave him back. Moses is a hefty boy.
Even more presents from Oma and Opa!
Giving Pops a kiss. Moses' kisses are really bites.
So so so confused that everyone is singing and staring at him.
But once he realized that he could destroyed the cake he was happy.
And the ice cream....? Totally his favorite.
And that, my friends, was the end of the day.
**This is Moses' new fav expression that I've been trying to capture for ages on film. Don't you just love it?
Happy birthday to you Moses
