Things are looking up
1. I don't think Moses has the chicken pox after all. The spots are still there and still red. Pox, at least according to my extensive google research, should have blistered by now. Also, they never appeared significantly on his torso. So Earl, I think you were right, I think he was attacked by some super Aussie bug. Poor Moses. They appeared during the day when we were out and about so luckily I think we are relatively safe at home. This is one of my greatest fears about living in Australia with a baby. They have so many crazy/huge/poisonous bugs and spiders here! A few weeks ago I woke up and saw a spider, A SPIDER, crawling on his head as he lay sleeping beside me.
2. We may of turned in corner with the whole sleeping problem. At my mom's suggestion (after I broke down completely last week) we moved our bed into the living room and gave Moses the bedroom. Yes, our living room looks a little silly but I don't even care. And things are better. Thursday night he slept from 7 PM-12 AM, woke up and ate and went straight back to sleep until 5 AM!!! It was a miracle. SERIOUSLY- a miracle. and then he ate and went back to sleep until 8 AM. I actually woke up before him. I can live with that. Now Friday night didn't go as well but I figure its a "two steps forward one step back" process. I think we were waking him up at night. I've been sick, as I said, and really congested so maybe I'm snoring and breathing too loudly or something. But also, its a lot less stressful for me now that Moses isn't sharing our room anymore. I don't stress about making even the smallest noise. I don't give Andreas dirty looks when he sneezes (poor guy). And we can talk at night before we go to sleep again. This new, albeit strange, sleeping arrangement is working out for us. Thank you all for you kind comments. Cross your fingers that it keeps working.

I am so glad that things are looking up. I havee a couple of suggestions from a friend in the ward. I will call you later when you are up and awake.
I have never had a child sleep with us in their room. Not sure why I did it that way - when Bonny was a baby we had a music room where we put her crib - and ever after that we had a spot for whoever was the baby - Hannah bunked with Harry F. as an infant. He had a lighted fish tank - which put her to bed instantly - the noise and the soft light and the motion of the fish seemed to be the perfect combo - in case you want to invest in a fish tank!
Progress, love it!!
I have never slept in the same room with a baby past 6 months. Fortunately I had the option with Theo and Ida...Lars, I might not end up having that option. We'll see. Since...last night we busted Theo and Ida up and playing in the living room with the lights on at...wait for it...2:30 a.m. Finally everyone was back to sleep at 5. I thought I was over these all-nighters?? Lars slept great but no one else did!
SO GLAD you are moving towards good sleep!!
