say what?

Me: "Moses it's time to go to bed. It's dark. You're tired. I promise."
Moses: " You be crazy Mamma. I'm not tired. Not one little bit. See how big I am opening my eyes?"

*30 seconds later he was out like a light. When is he going to learn that I am always right? *

They don't ever believe you. At least not until they are adults. If kids sleep, they might be missing out on something fun.

I spent an hour and a half at 4 am convincing Moses that nothing exciting was going on and that it was, in fact, time to be asleep.

Is it sad that I can remember being young and not wanting to go to bed because I was afraid I would miss out on something wonderful? I hope my future kids don't inherit that trait ...

Maybe he interprets hour and a half of convincing him that there is nothing exciting going on as "if I wake up in the middle of the night, I will get lots of attention from mom."
