My mom and dad came to visit us in Oslo on their way to Yemen. They were here for almost 2 weeks in September. My dad had a blast taking my mom to all his old mission haunts. We went to several flea markets and found some great things (including a fantastic danish modern vanity that I just had to have. I had to have to so much that I traded buying that for Andreas coming along to Moscow with me. Should I admit that?) My dad even fired up the beautiful kakeloven in my living room.
Sadly, this is the one and only photo I took while they were here. My mom is the picture taking queen and has many many more. Sadly, they don't have internet at home yet. Hopefully soon.
Then, about 2 weeks later, Andreas' parents decided a trip to the frozen north was in order. They stayed for a long weekend and we had a great time going around Oslo.
We took the metro up to the lake, went on an 8 km hike (I even impressed myself with that hike), and even talked to the ducks in several languages- we were trying to decide which one they understood.
We went to the famous "Naked Statue Park" aka Vigelandsparken.
