Россия!

I went to Russia the first week of October. Yes, I realize that it was a while ago but it took me a while to download the photos and can you really blog without them? I think not.
I stayed in this super swanky hotel in downtown Moscow. Seriously, I've never even been in such a beautiful hotel. The chandler above was in the elevator for heaven's sake.
But then the railings in the elevator were glass-filled with plastic crystals? Not really sure about that.
Moscow overwhelmed me. I've spent the last year and a half living in the tiny capital (population 1.5 million) of a tiny northern country (total population 4.7 million). Moscow alone boasts a population of 10 million. Its a gigantic city with huge building and wide roads.
I was there for work so unfortunately I really didn't get to do a lot of touristy stuff. The last night I was there we went on a river cruise and that gave me a chance (even though it was in the dark) to see Red Square.
