A walk home from church

The weather in Oslo has been amazing this weekend. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and its about 80 degrees. Earlier this week it was 45, rainy, and overcast. Needless to say I (and everyone else here) have been spending as much time as possible outside! The walk home from institute was beautiful, I thought I'd share.
Its still spring here so all the trees and bushes are blooming.
I took this picture at about 830 pm. Notice how brightly the sun is still shining. It doesn't get totally dark until about midnight these days.
Oslo is a mixture of old houses and turn of the century apartment buildings.
Doesn't the sunshine just make you so happy? I've only been here for 5 weeks (mostly overcast and rainy) and I missed the sun so much! What is going to happen to me after a long norwegian winter? I don't even want to think about it.
Me on the walk home, enjoying the sun, reflecting on how much I love my life at the moment and missing my family (you can't have your cake and eat it too I guess).

those are city bikes that you can rent

don't you just love Oslo? It is so beautiful, even the "bad" parts of town (such as they are).

Europe is like that - the bad parts mostly look quaint and scenic - maybe dirty and old too - but not scary!!
